While you were away, a lot has happened. Your old friend from college, Sarah, got engaged last month. Her fiancé is a wonderful guy named Tom, who you met a few times at our gatherings. They're planning a summer wedding, and I'm sure you'll be invited.

Another piece of news is that our neighbor, Mrs. Johnson, finally sold her house after it being on the market for almost a year. The new owners seem like a young, friendly family, and I'm looking forward to welcoming them to the neighborhood.

Work has been keeping me busy as usual. My boss announced some changes to our department, including a reorganization and a few new positions. Luckily, my role remains the same, and I'm relieved about that. Though the adjustments have been a bit stressful, I'm hopeful they'll lead to positive changes in the long run.

In my personal life, I've been making an effort to get out more and socialize. Last week, I attended a concert with some coworkers, and it was a really fun experience. I'm glad I pushed myself to go, as I tend to be a homebody. Maybe you and I can plan an outing sometime soon when you're back in town?
